Hi blog readers!
Like you have noticed, I haven't been writing much here anymore. Sadly I haven't have time... I have been busy as hell at renovating my house, trying to get few more rooms ready before my first child is born. :D The zero hour will be at 3rd of July, so we're getting close.
But I haven't forgotten the game collecting, don't worry... :) I decided to move to Instagram, there I can post pictures of my new findings, collection etc. more faster and easier way. You are more than welcome to follow me there and feel free to comment / ask questions, I'll gladly answer.
You can find me from Instagram as: petusretrogamehell.
Thank you for reading my blog and hopefully we'll see at the Instagram!

February / March update
Hello blog readers!
First of all, I need to say that I'm sorry for being all quiet so long time. If you have been reading my blog before, you probably noticed that I will have my first child this year, calculated time of birth is 3rd of July. It has been really hectic 2 months for me, I've been doing huge renovations at my house before the baby comes, so not much time for writing the blog. :(
But I haven't been completely out of the gaming and game collecting. I made myself an Instagram account too, where I'll try to put more pictures of my collection and stuff meanwhile I will have time to write to the blog. You will find me there at: petusretrogamehell. Please, feel free to come and follow me and check out the pics! :)
OK, let's check out the new findings from past 2 months.
Some new additions to me Sega collection. Master System games I found from Ebay for a really good price from Germany. Mega Drive games I changed with a fellow collector.

OK, let's check out the new findings from past 2 months.
NES games I mainly got from Ebay, except the Darkwing Duck, that I changed with a fellow collector. DS games I found from fleamarket for a really good price. Poochy & Yoshi's Woolly World was purchased by my wife, she loves Yoshi and gladly she's a gamer too! :*
All these games I found also from fleamarket, except the Chrono Cross, that I bought from collector from France. He also send me the Halo Mega Blocks - toys as an extra, thank you for that! :)
I had a lots of unsold games, consoles etc, so I changed some of them for this beauty at the local game store. Ufff, what an excellent piece of machine this is. Playing with VR brings a totally new dimension to the games. I only have Resident Evil: Biohazard and Until Dawn: Rush Of Blood games for VR, but both games have made me to soil myself few times... :D
I will check out more games for VR, when I have more time to play...
Thanks again for reading and C U next time! Game on!

December / January findings and Megaloot 2
Petu and Retrogaminghell is back in business! :) I have been quiet for a while: little bit relaxing holidays at December and I had little operation at January, so I've been on my sick leave few weeks... Resting and playing video games basically, mostly Watch Dogs 2 @ Playstation 4 or Rainbow Six: Siege and Company Of Heroes 2 @ PC.
Even that I was on holidays, I haven't forgot to expand my collection, so here's a lot of stuff, that I found at December / January.
Let's start with some Japanese stuff!
At December I found this beauty from Ebay at really really cheap price (16 € incl. shipping :O). It's a WonderSwan handheld console from Bandai, released only in Japan at 1999. This is first model of the WonderSwan series, there are 2 later models: WonderSwan Color and SwanCrystal. Really interesting console, nice graphics and audio etc. I will make longer story of WonderSwan later... :)
Blue WonderSwan console
I also grab few games for the WonderSwan, so I can test the console properly. Problem of the WonderSwan games are the language. Because the console was never released outside of Japan, usually the language of the games are in Japan. I chose Tare Panda Gunpey, Nice On and Gunpey. Nice On has some Japanese language, but it's still playable. More of these later with the WonderSwan story. :)
WonderSwan games
My console collection expand with the Japanese versions of the NES and SNES: Famicom and Super Famicom. Both consoles in original boxes. For Famicom I also bought the legendary Super Mario Bros. - game for the Famicom, so I can test the console. Super Famicom games I already had a few in my collection. Super Famicom works fine with PAL region tv, but the Famicom doesn't. Famicom uses NTSC-J signal from RF output so it's not compatible with PAL. You can only see disoriented black & white picture without any sound. There's a way to make a AV-mod for the Famicom, but I want to keep the console mod-free. :)
Left: Famicom with Super Mario Bros. and Right: Super Famicom
I also got more some random Famicom Games from France, 2 € / piece.
Famicom games
Then few pictures of some random findings and purchases from December / January. Videopac games I bought from my cousin, Master System games came with one bigger Master System lot. Various games at the last picture are from fleamarkets and Ebay.

Last but not least, the Megaloot 2! :) My friend contacted me at end of December, that he's planning to sell his whole video game collection away, would I be interested? Of course I was! :D So he sent me a list, I made an offer and we closed the deal! :) I won't say how much I paid, but let's say that it wasn't a cheap but if calculate every item separately, then it was cheap. At January I made a roadtrip to Helsinki to pick up the stuff and damn, it was a quite big pile!
All the stuff crammed to my Avensis
Most of the stuff out from the car, my cat thinking "Damn you are crazy!"
Here's the total listing of the megaloot 2. There was mostly not so common - games and a lots of JRPG and Pokemon - games, that usually are quite high priced games:
- about 60 Playstation Portable games (almost all games were CIB, some NIB games too), 1 CIB PSP console, 1 loose PSP console
- Game Boy Original - console
- Game Boy Color: 2 loose and 2 CIB games
- Game Boy Advance: 9 loose games
- Gamecube - console, 5 games
- about 50 Nintendo DS games (almost all games were CIB, some NIB games too), Nintendo DS Lite, DSi and DSi XL consoles, all consoles CIB
- few Playstation 1 games, modded Playstation 1 console (with JoGcon - controller)
- about 100 Playstation 2 games (almost all were CIB, few NIB games too), Playstation 2 - console
- about 65 Playstation 3 games (all were CIB, many NIB games too and some special editions)
- about 5 Xbox games (all CIB, 1 NIB)
- about 50 Xbox 360 games (all were CIB, many NIB games too)
- about 40 PC games
- 3 boxes of Official Playstation UK Magazine - magazines + demo cd:s

Lots of new stuff and interview
Hola hola carambola!
Last month have been relatively good with new stuff and fleamarket findings! :)
Here is the stuff that I found from fleamarkets during the past month:
My first Spectrum tapes that I have ever seen in my life. :) Found them on a fleamarket 3€ / piece. Another one is some kind of programming assembler and other is obviously a chess game.
These Super Famicom games I found from the same French seller. I bought them just for curiosity, because the price was less than 1€ / piece. Now I need to find myself a Super Famicom - console so I can test these games... :)
Vectrex game Blitz! is also from same French seller. Jaguar CD games I found from Germany about 15€ / piece which in my opinion is quite good price of Jaguar games and they are quite hard to find these days + Hover Strike is a NIB game. Rest of the games I found from UK, few Euros / piece.
At the topic I mention the interview. There was an interesting project with the local newspaper and high school. High school students made all interviews and articles for the Finnish independence day issue of the local newspaper called Jurvan Sanomat. Two young gentlemen wanted to do an interview of my retro game collecting, so I gave them an interview. The interview is sadly only in Finnish, but please let me know if you want to read it in English and I can translate it... :)

Some PS2 games for couple Euros, UMD movies 0,50€/piece and not so typical finding from fleamarket, a Master System game. Alex Kidd The Lost Stars.
More PS2 games and some Xbox games from fleamarket, few Euros / piece.
I did some trading with my friend. I traded some Vic-20 literature, that I bought 2 months ago, for these Videopac games. For some weird reason I like the cover art of the Videopac games. Can't say same about the graphics of the games... :D
Then some Ebay findings. I was missing a Game Gear from my collection. I found this from familiar seller from France. The console has screen/sound problems that are typical for the Game Gear, so I need to do some recapping work when I have time.
Definitely my best finding of the month was a almost CIB Atari Jaguar - console. The package was missing the Cybermorph game cartridge and the video lead cable. Well I happen to have both of the missing items at my storage, so now I have CIB Jaguar. In the picture you can see rest of my Jaguar collection.

All quiet in retro-front
Howdy!
Last month have been quite quiet in the retro front. Not much findings, some updates for the few boxes of NES games and few new Playstation games.
Here are few pictures of some more interesting findings:
Couple Commodore 64 games that I found from my friends attic and few games that I found through my add. Some games I already had, so I sold them already with one extra C64 I had.
More interesting and rare finding are the Vectrex games. I found them for a quite good price from Ebay. Some games had manuals, sadly all the games were missing the screen overlays.

Autumn update
Good day to my blog readers and greetings from autumnal Finland!
New stuff have arrived to my collection! :) First I want to show you my newcomer to my Commodore family: VIC-20
I exchange this beauty to some extra games that I had in stock. The condition of the both boxes, VIC-20 and Datassette, is really good!

The set included some cartridges: few games, memory expansion and programming carts. Some carts had also the manuals.
Some programming books and manuals. Some manuals were in Swedish, apparently the previous owner was Swedish speaker...
Here is a pic of my CIB Commodore collection. I also have loose C-128 and first model of Commodore 64, but it's not included in the picture.
Here's some misc games that I have found from fleamarkets, bought from private sellers or from Ebay:
One of my friend exchange these original Xbox games for 3 beers... :) Not bad deal at all...
And last but not least, some NES findings from Ebay and Galaxian, that I change with a fellow collector...

Flea market stuff and Mega Drive stuff
How-diddly-dildo!
Last weekend we had a flea market rally at our village. Lot's of people in a small village... :) I had some retro game sales at my mom's workspace. :) I did some sales, but not much. That's the problem when living in a small place...
My cat Marilyn gave some helping paw for putting the price tags for games... :D
Today I went to one crappy fleamarket, where I usually go once in a year, because there's not much change in a stuff and the whole place look's like a total disaster. Well what do you know!
Big bunch of PS2 games + couple PS3 games: total price of 20€. Alone the Genji and Forgotten Realms are little over 20€, so not bad finding at all...
Also the postman paid a visit and brought some Sega Mega Drive goodies. Whole lot cost 80€. All games were CIB. Alone the Herzog Zwei cost around 35-40€, so it's almost the half of the price of whole lot. :)

Second video + some updates
Howdy ho!
Second part of the Pixel & Paper interview is out, you can find the video here:
Pixel & Paper Interview part 2
Please leave some comments of the video or if you have some questions, please ask! I won't bite... Hard... :D
Then some additions and findings! :) My beloved wife found these figurines from flea market. Also these figurines were sold with the kids meal in that fast food restaurant, which has the golden M letter. I'm really surprised how good the quality of these figurines are...
At last Saturday I got a call from nice gentleman. He said, that he has 3 broken consoles: two Xboxes and Playstation. He said that if I want the consoles, I can pick them up for free, otherwise he will throw them to trashcan. Well I agreed to take them and in 10 minutes I was at the gentleman's yard to see what he have. This is all that I got:
- Xbox 360 Arcade with power supply and box
- Xbox 360 Pro (old model without HDMI-port)
- Xbox 360 20 GB & 120 GB hard drives
- Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit
- Xbox 360 various cables (component, composite and vga cables)
- Xbox 360 wireless controller
- Playstation 2 Slim with power supply
- Playstation 1 controller
- Playstation various cables (2 rca-cables and rgb-cable)
Of course immediately I had to test these when I got back home. First I tested the PS2. Cables connected: CHECK! TV On: CHECK! Disc in: CHECK! Power on: CHECK!
And what do you know! The damn thing works like a charm! I tested with a game little while and it works! Not bad for a broken console... :)
Then the Xbox turn. Older Pro model I couldn't test, because it use different power supply than the Arcade model, so does it work, it remains as a mystery... With the other Xbox I did same procedures as with the PS2: CHECK! CHECK! CHECK! It loads perfectly to the dashboard. Let's try the game and hellll yeahhh, it also works like a charm!
So not bad for being a trash: at least 2 of 3 consoles works... :)

Back in business! :)
Hi fellow collectors and blog viewers!
It's been 2 months since my last post to the blog. I've been on my summer holidays and damn I've been busy. I have made some facade renovations to my house and that took my whole summer holidays and not much time to write to the blog.
But I haven't forget the collecting in these past 2 months! :)
I've done some good findings from fleamarkets, frome private sellers and by some exchanging.
Let's see what I got:
These consoles I got by the privat sellers. Playstation 2 set had only Guitar Hero III and Band Hero games, but gladly they were CIB (complete in box). Xbox had mainly only some sports games, but atleast the price was cheap. :)
Here are the same Xbox games. Xbox 360 games I found flom fleamarket, whole set for 10€. Megadrive and N64 Clayfighter I got from private seller and NES games from Ebay.
Yayyy! Now I have CIB Gamecube! This beauty I exchanged with fellow collector to some NES games. 3DS games I bought from CDON.com discount sales and Mega Man 2 and Super Ghouls 'N Ghosts I bought from fellow collector from France.
And more fleamarket findings! All these I found in one fleamarket run: Commodore 128 with one module game was 30€. It has some problem with power connector that I will fix when I have more time. Miscellaneous PS2, WiiU and Xbox360 games was total of 10€. The Luigi figurine was sold with the kids meal in that fast food restaurant, which has the golden M letter...

These games I bought from a private seller by an ad in a local facebook fleamarket. Some good titles for PS1: Spyro games, Spider-Man, Rayman 2 and Crash Bandicoot 2.
My brother-in-law is visiting here in Finland and he's hosting a Youtube page called Pixel & Paper in Mexico. We have been filming a video about my collection and collecting + we also made a fleamarket special. Videos will be out in few parts and the first part should be out in few days, I will keep you posted. You can check the older videos at the page: Pixel & Paper

Milestone of 1000 visitors!
First of all, I want to thank you all for reading my blog! I crossed now the milestone of 1000 visitors, yayyy!!! :)

For Mexican pageviews, I have to thank my brother-in-law Fernando for promoting my page in Mexico. :) Thanks Fer!
So now it might be the turning point for my blog, should I start to write the blog in English?
Give me some thoughts and comments there below to the comment field, thanks! :)

Voivottelua ja päivittelyä
Hyvää kesän alkua kaikille!
Melkoista hiljaiseloa on ollut keräilyrintamalla. Muutama random peli on löytynyt kirppiksiltä, lähinnä PS2, PS3 ja Xbox360 pelejä.
Mutta jotain isompaakin ja mainitsemisen arvoista... :)
Netti-ilmoittelun kautta tuli tarjous Megadrive II - koneesta kahdella paskalla urheilupelillä 20€ hintaan.
Haisee muuten eroottiskuvottavalle... :)
